Tiroplat Injection
(Tirofiban Hydrochloride Injection 12.5 mg/ 50ml)

GENERIC NAME: Tirofiban as Hydrochloride 12.5 mg/ 50ml
THERAPEUTIC CLASS: Anti-Platelet Agent
INDICATIONS & DOSAGE:
Used with heparin
- To prevent myocardial ischemic events in unstable angina or Non-Q-wave MI.
- To reduce ischemic complications during coronary angioplasty/atherectomy.
STORAGE: Protect from light, preserve in tightly closed containers at controlled room temperature (10-30 ℃).
PACK SIZE: 1×1’s
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
- Unstable angina/ Non-Q-wave MI: Loading: 0.4 µg/kg/min for 30 min → Maintenance: 0.1 µg/kg/min for 48 hrs.
- Angioplasty /Atherectomy: Bolus: 10 µg/kg over 5 min → Maintenance: 0.15 µg/kg/min for 16-24 hrs.
Adjust dose by weight; reduce 50% in severe renal impairment.
IV use only; can be co-administered with heparin and aspirin.
Precautions:
Use with caution in patients with:
- Recent (within 1 year) bleeding, including gastrointestinal bleeding or clinically significant urogenital
- Known history of coagulation disorders, platelet abnormalities, or thrombocytopenia.
- Platelet count less than 150,000/mm3.
- History of cerebrovascular disease within 1 year.
- History of major surgical procedures or major physical trauma within 1 month.
- Recent epidural surgery.
- History, symptoms, or findings of a wall aneurysm.
- Severe uncontrolled hypertension (systolic blood pressure greater than 180 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure greater than 110 mmHg).
- Acute pericarditis.
- Hemorrhagic retinopathy.
- Chronic hemodialysis.
Warnings:
- Increased risk of bleeding, especially with heparin/aspirin.
- Monitor platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit.
- Fatal bleeding and thrombocytopenia may occur.
- Avoid use with thrombolytics unless essential.
Contraindications:
- Active internal bleeding
- History of intracranial hemorrhage, tumors, AV malformations, aneurysms
- Prior thrombocytopenia with tirofiban
- Hypersensitivity to any component
